Ws fix doesnt work for this game with steam actually, for commandos 3 which is the only one that works d3dwindower.exe is a program that forces dx8 if you so chose and forces windowed mode, this is the only work around and the only game that works none of the others do and com3 doesnt work without the program mentioned. That patch the ws one, all that does is nothing, it add's res's that my monitor doesnt even support, though i used something like this on anachronox and it worked for that games issues though it never had problems starting just randomly would be slow until the ws fix which allowed a CUSTOM res, which this link, doesnt offer. So no this link diddnt help one bit:( none of the games work minus com3 and thats using a 3rd party app that valve doesnt like it even says that it will ban me from mp for using it. Not that the game is played in mp these days anyway help? Some lamer posted in another thread that NO ONE has issues with these games but me. Which if one looks in steam forums or gog or google stuff, these games have had issues since after xp faded away.

Again do you have a widescreen monitor? And this doesnt work for anything BUT a widescreen, anyone with normal res, this doesnt even apply or count. Only com3 works with a d3windower here. And its iffy cant get any of these games to work and the devs know about it, but cant fix it this should be removed from steam, gog offered refunds, valve.

Anyway this fix is for widescreen only, and even then you are lucky it is a res issue, hence why the d3windower works for com3 doesnt work for the others though, as i can force dx8 and windowed mode and tada. But none of these games here work just com3 and that barely runs, google for commandos games wont start dare ya.

Lol glad it works for you mate, you didnt say if you have 64 bit or not but please know, hundreds if not thousands since xp and on have had issues running these games again gog offered refunds, valve should do the same or take it off the store or change the description to REQUIRES etc vs min specs = anyone help on running all commandos games win7 64 bit pro ver? Im just waiting as i know there are so many issues, the patches you are using wont work some of em games, most wont work either esp older ones. Its only reason im waiting, it sucks too since new games REQUIRE win 10 which I think is lame did upgrading to win 10 format the hd? Did it reset partitions? Remove and edit firewall in windows?
